Teaching Adults to Read with Understanding was developed in partnership with the National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) and the National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL). Using the EFF Content Standard Read with Understanding, as its focus, the Project team designed a professional development model that prepares literacy providers to integrate research on the teaching of reading into EFF's purposeful and contextual approach to instruction.
